Obituary of Arthur J. Paquette

Arthur J. Paquette Shields, MI Arthur J. Paquette, 82, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018 surrounded by his family & friends. He was born on July 1, 1935 in Saginaw, MI to the late Arthur G. & Elizabeth Kozan Paquette. Following his graduation from Saginaw High School in 1953, he worked at Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 5 as a journeyman electrician and retired in 1993 after 40 yrs of service. He married the love of his life, Laraine Reimers, on November 24, 1956 and recently celebrated 61 yrs. Of marriage. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and many friends. He was a past president of the Buena Vista JC's, the Tri-County Sno-Goers and always looked forward to their safari weekends so he could drive his Polaris snowmobile named "can't touch this". He loved to cruise with his friends, many of them lifelong & the Gratiot Cruisers car club in his beloved 78 Gold Trans Am. He was an avid "buy American" fan and a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He leaves behind his wife, Laraine and their children, Mark (Tammy) Paquette, Bath, MI, Karin (Chris) Walter, Delmar, DE, Robin Wiley, Avon, OH and his Grandchildren Maxx, Mason & Mitchell Wiley and Ashlie, Jessica & Lindsey Walter. His Brothers & Sisters, Robert (MaryKay) Paquette, Joann Hausman, Patsy (Bob) Coffey, Jerry Paquette and Sister-in-law Marianne and many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased in death by his Brother Jack, Son-in Law Tedd Wiley, Brother-in-Law Don Hausman & Niece Beth Reimers-Becker. A memorial Service & Luncheon will be held on March 10, 2018, 1:00pm at Ascension Lutheran Church, with a meet for family and friends at 12:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to send donations to Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, MI 48609 IF USING THE SYMPATHY STORE ALL SYMPATHY ITEMS SHOULD BE SENT TO THE FAMILYS HOME OR TO THE CHURCH.
