Obituary of Phyllis R. Appold

Appold, Phyllis R. Bay City, MI Phyllis, cherished mother, and grandmother, received the gift of eternal life on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the age of 80. She was born in Flint Michigan June 26, 1937 to the late Neil and Caroline (Buehl) Howden. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church and had worked as a teacher's aid for the Bay Arenac ISD. Although she enjoyed word puzzles, garage sales searching for treasures, and homemade cooking, her greatest joy was the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Craig (Carol) Appold, Cathi (Eric) Reymore, Jill Appold, and Heide Appold, all of Bay City. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brett and Erica Reymore, Kip and Collin Appold, and Caroline Douponce; her sister, Carolyn (Gerald) Mueller of South Bend IN; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, 510 W. Ivy Street, Bay City MI. The family will be present to receive friends at church prior to the service from 11 AM – 12 Noon. Pastor Paul Kruse will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Zion Lutheran Church.
