Obituary of Paul W. Deal
Deal, Paul W.
Sanford, Michigan
Paul William Deal, 77, of Sanford,MI, and Apache Junction, AZ, went peacefully to heaven on Easter Sunday morning with an earthly angel holding his hand and singing country music to him. He lost his 1 month battle with lymphoma which he fought aggressively. He was born on May 15, 1940 in Mt. Forest Township to the late Paul and Dorothy (Underwood) Deal. He met Joyce Ballor, and together they married on May 20, 1961, and made a promise to each other that lasted his lifetime. She survives him. He was employed by Dow Corning, where he made many friends and had a lot of good times. Paul was a fun loving, true, gentleman cowboy who entertained many people in both Michigan and Arizona. He will be remembered for his happy smile, warm kind heart, and will be missed by all who knew him. Singing and playing his guitar was a daily part of life, and his musical legacy will continue on through the music of his wife, Joyce, daughter Tammy, and grandchildren Erik, Evan, Ally and Jacob, who all sing and play music.
He is survived by his wife and and only love, Joyce (Ballor) Deal, daughters, Tammy Deal and her fiancé, Don Norton, Cheree and Dan Vasilauskas, and only son and namesake, Paul D. and Tabby Deal; grandchildren, Erik, Evan and Ally Vasilauskas, and Jacob Deal. He was predeceased by daughter, Barbara Terese Deal, grandsons Bradley Paul Deal and Luke Matthew Deal, a sister, Barbara Buzcek and brother, Don Deal.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to "Paul Deal's Heart Strings", a fund being created to provide guitars to deserving children in his name. He was a generous man and would be proud to inspire a new generation of guitar players. Checks should made payable to Joyce Deal, P.O. Box 121, Sanford, MI, 48657. Plans for a summer memorial country music jam to celebrate his life are being made.

And my time on this good old earth is done,
I'll turn that old truck up towards heaven,
'Cause I'm a Truck Drivin' Man"
