Obituary of Marvin W. Towns

Towns, Marvin W. Sr. Saginaw, Michigan Marvin, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, April 4, 2018 at the age of 80. The only child of the late Thomas and Nina (Jacobs) Towns, Marv was born on January 22, 1938 in Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School, class of '56. He married Judith Piechotte on March 2, 1962. She survives him. He retired from GM (Saginaw Steering Gear) on June 1, 1992 and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw. Surviving besides his wife Judy are his children, Tara (John) Hanlon, Tracy Moeller both of Colorado Springs CO; Marvin W. Towns Jr, Saginaw; Thomas A. (Ann) Towns, Bay City; Jill M. (Bobbi) Duchon-Ortiz, Port Hueneme, CA. He also leaves 11 grandchildren: Alex Moeller, Nina (Tim) Allmond, Sarah Balos, Gabe Witt, Elizabeth Towns, Jakob Duchon, Ethan Witt, Claire Towns, Molly Towns, Cooper Towns and Judah Towns. Marv had one great-granddaughter, Hayley. He also leaves three sister-in-laws and one brother-in-law, Barbara (Virgil) Brown, Robert (Linda) Piechotte, Sandra (Gary) Case and Patricia Graham, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank-you to the special staff at Saginaw Senior Care and Rehabilitation that cared for Marv over the last seven years. Also, to the caring staff of St. Mary's Hospital. Cremation has taken place according to Marv's wishes. A memorial service will be held later in his honor.
