Obituary of Audrey "Aud" Irene Yost

Yost, Audrey Irene "Aud" Midland, MI Audrey Irene Yost, age 77 of Midland, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her home with her family at her side. She was born November 20, 1940 in Jackson, MI to the late Harold and Francis (Pickering) Rickard. She attended Shepherd High School until her father was transferred to Allegan, MI. She graduated from Allegan High School, and worked as a Para Pro in both the Shepherd and Midland schools. Audrey and her husband traveled extensively to six continents and had a trip planned to Antarctica in January but was to sick to travel. Everywhere she went she made new friends and never met a stranger. She loved her family very, very much and loved family gatherings. Everyone who ate her Rice Krispy cookies wanted more. Audrey made aprons and adult bibs and gave them away. She will be missed by all who knew her. Audrey is survived by her husband George W. Yost; two children Stacey Yost of Mt. Pleasant and Scott (Jane) Yost of Midland; four granddaughters, Ashley (Trevor) Lindgren and Sunny Yost of Midland, Sally (James) Rudy of Mt. Pleasant and Mary (Dan) Predl of Kalamazoo; a very special great-granddaughter Grace Veit of Midland; and two great-grandsons, Logan and Connor Rudy of Mt. Pleasant. Audrey was preceded in death by her sister Rose Rickard. Per Audrey's wishes cremation has taken place and a Life Celebration will take place at a later date.
