In about 1952 my family moved to McKinley Ave., next door to the Leibrand family, and Chuck was one of my earliest friends. In those days we were "free range kids," wandering around the neighborhood. After dinner we'd holler out for each other and play outdoors until dark or later--until the parents called out for us. At one point Chuck's dad, Karl, ran a wire from my bedroom to Chuck's to connect a battery-powered telephone. When he got older and could drive, he had a 1960 Ford for getting to work. He had rearranged the letters on the trunk to read "DORF." All of the memories are good. It's so sad to read of his passing. Chris Campbell
