Obituary of John Paul O'Neil

John Paul O'Neil, age 71, left to go to his heavenly home on April 1, 2018. He was born on July 22, 1946 in Gould City Michigan. John was a very generous man, he loved to spend his time volunteering at the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen, and helping the people in the community. He also liked to spend his time going to his daughters' horse shows, going to auctions, tinkering on stuff in his yard, reading his bible, and helping out in his friend's garage. He also loved to hunt and fish in his younger days. John was an auto body mechanic most of his life, he helped with race cars, and was involved in the harness horse racing scene for many years. John was looking forward to watching his daughter Brandy graduate from college on May 4, 2018, and to spending time outside in the garden this summer. He is going to be missed greatly by his loved ones, friends, and the community. He leaves behind three daughters, Paula Jean Sharar, Susanne Jean O'Neil, and Brandy Marie O'Neil; granddaughters, Samantha Sharar, Madalyn Sharar, Helana Sharar, and Serena Sharar; his siblings, Darlene Barr, Celia O'Neil, William O'Neil, and Eugene O'Neil; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and friends that were like family. John was preceded in death by his parents William and Eunice (Sly) O'Neil; and siblings, Lorraine Jones, Ed O'Neil, and Marilyn Hudman. John's Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Briton Chapel in Lake, Michigan. Memorial donations can be made to the family to help cover final expenses.
