Obituary of Ruby Louise (Shaw) Gour

Gour, Ruby Louise (Shaw) Gladwin, MI Ruby, age 83, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Stratford Pines Nursing Home in Midland, Michigan. She peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior. Ruby was born September 14, 1934 to Randall D. and Loretta (Larkin) Shaw in Farwell, Michigan. She was the seventh of nine children, all of whom preceded her in death: Irving Shaw, Elva Smith (Shaw), Ellen Marshall (Shaw), John Shaw, Arlene Russell (Shaw), Randall D. Shaw, Jr., Donald Shaw, Herman L. Shaw. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Juanita (Randall) Shaw of Jackson, Michigan; two sons, Jack (Judy) Roberson of Beaverton, and Randall (Nancy) Roberson of Carlsbad, New Mexico; a daughter, Ronnie Ann (Michael) Jankoviak (Roberson) of Gladwin;16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, who were a true joy of her life; and two close friends, Nancy Bancroft of Grand Rapids and Sally Miller of Midland. A Memorial Service will be held at the Beaverton Nazarene Church on May 20, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Kim Lewis of the Beaverton Baptist Church officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the Nazarene Church. Following Ruby's wishes, in lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Stratford Pines Nursing Home of Midland, whose staff provided amazing care for Ruby.
