Obituary of Miriam "Gramma Red" E. Rosebrugh

Rosebrugh, Miriam E. "Gramma Red" West Branch, MI Miriam E. "Gramma Red" Rosebrugh, age 89, died May 13, 2018 at her home. Gramma Red was born January 27, 1929 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Clyde Sr. and Beryl (Reid) Morrison. She graduated from Rose City High School in 1947 and attended Michigan State University for 3 years. She married Ike Rosebrugh on July 8, 1950. They owned a dairy farm where Gramma Red milked the cows, drove the tractors, and help harvest the crops. After they sold the dairy cows, she went to work at Tolfree Memorial Hospital and was there for 15 years before retiring. She was famous for her Cinnamon Rolls. When someone would see Gramma Red, it was either "I have had your great cinnamon rolls" or "I've heard how great they are". She was a 4-H leader for 25 years, volunteered at the Ogemaw County Fair's antique village, and participated in the fall and spring tours for school kids. Gramma Red was an honorary member of the Ogemaw Heights Future Farmers of America which she took great pride in. She volunteered at West Branch Regional Medical Center after she retired. Her favorite thing was "Kid Tuesdays", the grandkids and their friends were at her house every Tuesday for the day. She didn't always know where they were or what they were doing but she loved it. Gramma Red is survived by 10 children, Jean (Paul) Wangler, Fred (Louanne) Rosebrugh, Pat Robinson, Lucky Rosebrugh, Beth (Denny) Zaske, Ben (Sandy) Rosebrugh and Rex (Jody) Rosebrugh of West Branch, Ray (Debbie) Rosebrugh of Caro, Cindy Rosebrugh of Rose City, and Ann Rosebrugh of Prescott; 25 grandchildren, Jason (Renee) Wangler, Ted (Delta) Wangler, Steve Johnson, Tracie (Terry) Linsenman, Parker Rosebrugh, Fred Robinson, Paul Robinson, Toby (Ann) Tisdale, Joni Tisdale, Katie (Brian) Kann, Tom (Kerrie) Zaske, Chad (Jill) Zaske, Dustin Zaske, Ashley Madigan, Ben (Emily) Wiltse, Chase (Bree Zettle) Wiltse, Travis (Michelle) Tinker, Jason Tinker, Carrie (Todd) Jameson, Ethan (Holly Denstedt) Rosebrugh, Alyssia (Kevin Proulx) Rosebrugh, Ike Rosebrugh, Kimmie (Mike) Provoast, Kelly (Jeff) Schagel, and Jake (Carli) Rosebrugh; 26 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Orrel Miller and Pat (Gene) LaLonde; brother, Bud (Frieda) Morrison; and a sister-in-law, Marie Rosebrugh. She was predeceased by her husband Ike, and brother, Reid Morrison. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., May 22, 2018 at the Ogemaw County Fair Grounds with dinner following.
