Mark Gillett

Obituary of Mark Wayne Gillett

Mark Wayne Gillett, 64, of Flint was born on December 6, 1953 and passed away May 20, 2018. Mark was born in Midland, Michigan to Charles Calvin and Margaret D (Corbitt) Gillett. He was a strong, giving man who would help anyway he could; giving you the shirt off of his back. Something we will always remember him by, is his sense of humor. He had a unique way of razzing everyone that was close to him. Amongst his bushy eyebrows and bearded face was a strong, loving person (father, grandfather) who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and the outdoors. He would love to take his family for drives in the country side; eating ice cream cones and watching for wildlife. Mark is survived by his half-brother, James M. Gillett of Midland, his sister Linda L. Bloomfield (Dick) of Chula Vista, California and Mary (Don) Bristol of Lansing. He was a loving father to his children Jennifer (Bryan)Clark of Beaverton, Jamie (Matthew) Colby of Standish, Theodore Gillett of Flint; seven grandchildren, David, Charity, Faith, Joshua, Makenzie, Elizabeth, and Rebekah. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dawn (Kreps) Gillett, his half-brother David E. Gillett, his brother Calvin C Gillett, and his son Jeremy Gillett. His family celebrates his life with the confidence of knowing we will see him again in heaven. The family will be holding a small, private memorial for him on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 to celebrate his life.
