Obituary of Dennis Paul Badger
Dennis Paul Badger, age 68, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday,
June 3, 2018 at his home in Ubly, MI. Dennis was born May 20, 1950 to the late Edison R. Badger and Julia (Lackowski/Hill) Gouine.
He served in the United States Army during Vietnam from March 1970 to November 1971. He was the owner of Ubly Floorcovering until his retirement, and then started a new company, Badger Apartments. He enjoyed coaching basketball, golfing, riding his motorcycle, traveling, and spending time with his many friends and neighbors. Although he enjoyed life, his greatest love in life was spending time with family. He will always be remembered by his bright smile and sense of humor. The memories he left behind will be treasured forever by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Anne (Zulauf) Badger; children, Jennifer (Chris) Meyer of Eagle River AK, Amy Mulwa of Comstock Park MI, Jason (Adrienne) Badger of Bad Axe MI, Keith Badger of Shelby Twp. MI; grandchildren, Justen Smithers of Mankato MN, Jacob (Kayla) Meyer of Mustang OK, Sarah (Dennis) Martinez of Crestview FL, Aaron Martin, Alyssa Martin, and Aidan Martin, all of Comstock Park MI, Blake Badger and Brooke Badger of Bad Axe MI; great grandchildren, River Meyer, Maverick Meyer and Pearl Martinez; aunt, Adeline Jurgelonis of Petoskey MI; siblings, Debbie (Jim) Molitor of Wyoming MI, Cindy (Dave) Klee of Harbor Beach MI, Doug (Connie) Badger of Minden City MI, Dawn (Mark) Bruderick of Clarkston MI; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. He was predeceased by grandsons, Jeremy Smithers and Arik Martin; siblings, Kenneth Badger, Gary Badger, Thomas Badger and Denise Badger.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at 11 AM, August 16, 2018, at Ubly Valley Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Ubly Heights Country Club.
