Obituary of Virginia "Ginny" Hahn

Hahn, Virginia "Ginny" Saginaw, MI Ginny passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 7, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living, age 87. Virginia Lea Johnson was born April 9, 1931 in Detroit, MI to the late James E. and Emily (Gonzer) Johnson. She married Charles H. Hahn on June 29, 1950 and he predeceased her in January 2007. She lived in the Saginaw and Bridgeport areas most of her life after moving here from Detroit. She was a member of the Beacon of Hope Church in Saginaw, and had a strong faith that guided her through life. Her most favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards and games with her daughters and friends at Brookdale. Surviving her are three daughters, Linda Hahn McLean, Carla (Daniel) Gilbert, Wendy (Charles) Finlan; grandchildren, Brianne (Richard) Nevill, Stuart McLean, Zachary Gilbert, Luke (Trista) Gilbert, Wesley (Ashley) Brown, Andrew (Amy) Brown, Kyle Finlan, Benjamin (Nickole Schermerhorn) Finlan, and Jacob Finlan; great grandchildren, Matthew Nevill, Elana McLean Byers, Shyler and Mckinley Gilbert, Mila and Owen Brown, Averie and Elsie Brown, and soon to be Jameson Finlan. Virginia was sadly predeceased by one daughter, Diane (James) Brown; her sister, Barb; and many other dear relatives and friends. A special thanks to those at Brookdale, who became her second family, and to those at Compassus Hospice for the kindness and love they gave Ginny. A memorial service will take place on June 24, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Brookdale Assisted Living, 2485 McCarty Rd., Saginaw MI with refreshments to follow.
