Obituary of Charles Artemus Hopkins

Charles Artemus Hopkins of Harrison, Michigan, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Wellspring Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth, Michigan. He was born on January 20, 1939, to Gerald & Julia (Herrst) Hopkins in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Charles was a truck driver for Ford Motor Company until he moved his family north to Harrison, Michigan for a quieter life in the country. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding and watching birds and squirrels on his patio, and spending time with family. Most days Charles could be found "tinkering" in his garage. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Peggy (Woods) Hopkins; 5 daughters, Belinda Hale, Maricia (Arthur) Listeman, Janice (Scott) Cooper, Shandi (Denver) DeKeyser, and Shelly Hopkins; father in law ,Rev. H.L. (Norine) Woods; many grandchildren, Allison (Matt) Carrier, Dana Cooper, Megan, Caleb, Joshua and Seth DeKeyser, and Kaitlyn Raymond; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
