Obituary of Richard B. Wegener

Wegener, Richard B. Jr. Bay City, MI Richard passed away July 6, 2018, at the age of 51. He was born August 29, 1966 to Richard B. Wegener and Mary A. Gwizdala. Richard followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father by working in the construction industry. He was a master of his trade and his coworkers often called on him for problem resolution and design work. He was an auto and motorcycle enthusiast, making extensive modifications and repairs to every vehicle owned by himself and those of his friends and family. He built model cars throughout his entire life starting at a very young age. He was a cruciverbalist and enjoyed puzzles in general. His love of word puzzles, his construction roots, and the immense variety of his life experiences made him a conversationalist to be reckoned with. He is survived by his children, Jacob and Gabriella; siblings, Michael Wegener, William Horning, Clarke Wegener, Ann Marie Garchow; nine nieces and nephews; two great nephews; and parents Richard and Diane Wegener. He was predeceased by his son Richard "Ricky" B. Wegener III; brother Robert Wegener; his favorite Uncle, Jim Gwizdala; grandparents, Pete and Christina Gwizdala, Richard and Margaret Wegener, and Virgil and Eleanor Lamblin. A private family gathering was held, with interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery near his mother, brother Robert, Uncle Jim and Gwizdala grandparents.
