Obituary of Linda M. Bierlein

Bierlein (Mueller), Linda Margaret, of Gladwin, Michigan; Formerly of Frankentrost, Michigan, Passed Away on July 27, 2018. She was 88 years old. Linda was born on September 27, 1929 in Saginaw Michigan to Albert Mueller and Margaret Mueller (Hartman). She graduated from Saginaw High in 1947. She then married the love of her life, Otto Bierlein on December 9, 1950. Linda and Otto were blessed with three children. Linda took great pride in being a devoted wife, mother, and a proud grandmother. She had a passion for life and enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, playing cards, and volunteered for her church. After Otto retired, they relocated to their home up north in Gladwin, Michigan, on Wiggins Lake. Their Wiggins Lake home provided them years of memories with their family and friends. For nearly 20 years, Otto and Linda became snowbirds as they spent their Michigan winters on the warm beaches in Florida. While in Florida, Linda's favorite pastime was shelling, line dancing, and soaking up the rays. She especially enjoyed sharing her winter get-away with family visiting. Linda lived her life to the fullest. Leading up to her final days, she enjoyed all of her visitors including her grandchildren and grand-dogs. She was surrounded by family as she left our world to reunite with her beloved husband. Surviving are her; daughter Susie Auenhammer (Bierlein), son-in-law Tom Aurenhammer; son Sgt. Richard Bierlein, daughter-in-law Edith Bierlein; son Scott Bierlein daughter-in-law Laura Bierlein. Linda, known by her loved ones, as Nana, was blessed with six grandchildren, Jill and Tom Auernhammer, Samantha and Valerie Bierlein, and Tim and Ben Bierlein. She was survived by her brother-in-law; Harry Bierlein and sister-in-law Barb Adams and Jim Adams. Also, brother-in-law Bud Watrous, and sister-in-law Jessie Mueller, and many nieces and nephews, especially Jay who held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased in death by sister Esther Haines (Mueller) and brothers Clarence Mueller and Albert Mueller. Linda was also survived by her Wiggins Lake family of friends, who she loved spending time with. FUNERAL: Funeral Service will take place at 11:30, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 331 Clendening Road, Gladwin, MI. Preceding the service, family and friends are welcome to visit the family starting at 10:00, Tuesday morning. Family and friends are then welcome to join a luncheon at the church to celebrate Linda's life. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the Bright Focus Foundation – a non-profit organization supporting research for Macular Degeneration or a donation to Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
