Obituary of William Henry Stasek

Stasek, William Henry Oakley, Michigan William, our loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Age 83 years. Bill was born on November 10, 1934, to the late Joseph and Agnes (Yarabek) Stasek. He was a graduate of Chesaning High School, Class of 1953. He served in the United States Marine Corps, 1954 to 1957 and retired after 25 years of service from Chevrolet Manufacturing, Flint. He married the love of his life, Mary Anne Gorman on May 26, 1962. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and spending time with his family. Bill will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Mary Anne; his children, Laura Stasek & Bob Fish of Chesaning, Mary Beth (Dustin) Ladd of Montrose, Joseph (April) Stasek of Savannah, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Mary (Norman) Shinkle of Williamston; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; his sister, Barbara White of Owosso; his brother, Ronald Stasek of Oakley; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, William Michael Stasek; his uncles, Michael Stasek, and John (Jack) Stasek; and his brother, Robert Stasek. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 509 Parshall Street, Oakley, MI. A funeral lunch will be served immediately following mass in the parish hall of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 404 S. Wood Street, Chesaning, MI. Rev. William J. Gruden, Pastor will officiate.
