Obituary of Roger Gene Sabins
Roger Gene Sabins, age 75, died peacefully on August 21, 2018 in the company of his loving family in Gladwin, Michigan. Roger was born on March 22, 1943 to parents, Joseph and Isabelle Sabins of Warren, Michigan. In 1961, Roger graduated from Warren High and received numerous awards in basketball, track and football. He joined the Detroit Police Department on January 17, 1966 and retired from the Detroit Mounted Division on April 2, 1996. Roger was a member of the F.O.E. and held the position of Trustee for many years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Janice (Pfeiffer); his adult children, Jason (Donna), Todd (Stephanie Stevens), and Robin Birch (Shawn); and five grandchildren, Jacob, Alexandra, Emma, Isabella, and Joshua.
