Marlene was one of the most talented artists, I've ever known. As a little girl in East Tawas, I would pose in a lawn chair, so Marlene could sketch my picture. She was very kind and Marlene will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her!
My deepest sympathies to the family. I was one of her students when she used to come to Tawas to teach us oil painting. Was saddened to hear of her passing and have many happy memories and she taught me a lot about art.
