Obituary of Evylene Marie Mapes Jenkins

Jenkins, Evylene Marie (Mapes) Midland, MI Evylene, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. She was surrounded by her family. She was a long-standing member of Wesley Chapel in Midland and in her younger years had an operatic-style voice which was heard in choruses, choirs and family weddings. Evylene was born December 20, 1927 in Midland, the daughter of Orville and Nettie (Silvernale) Mapes. She is preceded in death by her husband Cleo Dewight Jenkins. She is survived by 10 children, April Hepburn of Pembroke Pines, FL, Lenore (Joseph) Sian of Midland, Rebecca (James) Sian of Midland, Denise (Alan) Sian of Midland, Daniel (Midge) Jenkins of Midland, Jill (Terry) Keeley of Midland, Melanie Jenkins of Sanford, MI, Christopher (Dana) Jenkins of Merrill, MI, Rachael McGimpsey of Midland and Oliver Jenkins of Midland. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 2, 2018 at Faith Wesleyan Church with Pastor James Barnhart of Wesley Chapel officiating.
