Obituary of James "Jim" E. Hottois

Hottois Sr., James "Jim" Edward Whittemore, Michigan Jim, 88 years young, passed away January 8, 2019 with his loved ones at his side. He was born in Prescott Michigan on July 30, 1930 to John and Helen Hottois. He is retired from GM where he worked as a Master Mechanic in skilled trades and received numerous awards for inventions with GM. Sargent Hottois was a crew chief with the 35th Fighter Interceptor Group U.S. Air Force from 1948 -1951 and fought in the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening, watching wild life, grafting fruit trees, riding in his side by side, hunting and visiting with his children. He married Barb Turland in 2009 and she survives him. Also surviving are his children, James Jr., Rollie (Teri), Melanie Hayes, Scott (Cheryl); a sister, June (Don) Goldbecker; brother, Roy Hottois; and grandchildren, Kevin, Carissa, Tiffany, Tricia, Brandon, Lacey and Dustin. He was predeceased by his brother, Joe Hottois. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service is planned.
