Obituary of Emilie Raquel Truax
Emilie Raquel Truax, age 83, passed away at her home in Saginaw, surrounded by her family on Friday, January 25, 2019. She was born September 17, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late George and Isabel Graham. Emilie was a lifetime resident of Saginaw and a graduate of Arthur Hill High School.
She attended Saginaw Business Institute where she attained her business degree. Emilie worked at General Motors in accounts payable and retired at the age of 50. She was a very active member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church where she served as church president. She organized Mother Daughter banquets and Christmas Bazaar's, but her favorite was publishing the church's cookbook. She participated in other services for her community such as serving in the city planning commission for several years. She enjoyed participating in the woman's golf league, bowling, and doing crossword puzzles. Emilie always had the biggest smile when she was surrounded by all of her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two loving daughters, Cynthia Rose and Michelle Steele; 6 cherished grandchildren, Fernando Pantoja, Michael (Stepheny) Rose, Matthew Rose, Ashley Steele, Gerald Wilson, and Emily (Nicholas) Divo; 6 much loved great-grandchildren, Emma and Madison Rose, Angel, Kagen, and Kara Rose, and Fiona Wilson; her brother, Robert (Mary) Graham of New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Mary (Ken) Sanderson, William (Vi) Graham, Jean (Charles) Martindale, Mabel (Peter) Williams, George (Donna) Graham, Elizabeth (Arthur) Kern, Margaret (Herbert) Werth, John Graham, Richard Graham, and Harry Graham.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M., February 7, 2019 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw MI. Reverend Kristina M. Truhan will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com
