Obituary of Michael R. Sullivan

Sullivan, Michael Essexville, Michigan Michael Raymond Sullivan, left this world on Thursday February 21, 2019. Michael was born in Bay City on January 3, 1934 the son of the late Michael David and Mary Ann(Fugere) Sullivan. Michael was retired from the Bay County Road Commission. Michael is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patsy (Nickless) Sullivan and their three children, Michael(Cyndi) Sullivan, Todd Sullivan, and Teri (Joe) Pietryga. Also surviving Michael are eight grandchildren of whom he was very proud of, Justin, Jacob and Lauren Pietryga, Shane, Callie and Riley Sullivan, Tara and Kayla Sullivan; many nieces and nephews. Michael was pre-preceded in death by his sisters and brother; Evelyn Dishaw, Ann Volk, Murray Sullivan, Jeanette Pelletier, Kate Musser, Pat Carson, Rosemary Beson, Maureen Derosier, Jackie Spencer, and his mother and father in law Phyllis and Clare Nickless. The Sullivan Family would like to give a special thanks to the Bay Medical Care Facility for their compassionate and care, especially the staff on One and Two West. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Essexville. Father Dale Orlik will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish or the Bay Medical Care Facility.
