Obituary of Lodama Rose VanSchalack Prather
Lodama Rose VanSchalck Prather passed away peacefully on February 9, 2019 in Auburn, Michigan at the age of 91. Lodama was born on November 28, 1927 in Flint, Michigan to Earnest Glenn VanSchalck and Louise Eva Killey Phelps. She later lived in Lapeer and Mio Michigan, and wintered in Tavares, Florida. Lodama was also an active member of the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles throughout the years.
Lodama is lovingly remembered by her granddaughter, Ginger Canup (Brent); grandson Chad Estep (Petra); great-granddaughters, Morgan Pickering (Corey), Margaux Canup, Rebecca Estep and Leandra Estep; and great-great-granddaughter, Evelyn Pickering. Lodama wass predeceased by her loving parents, Glenn Van Schalck and Louise Eva Killey Phelps; husband, Richard Prather; brothers, Keith VanSchalck and Lloyd Phelps; and two sons, Martin Estep and James Estep.
