Obituary of William "Bill" Endert
William 'Bill' Endert, 75, of Vassar, Michigan, passed away on March 26, 2019, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born to the late Harold William Endert, Sr. and Oline (Fox) Endert, on January 7, 1944, in Caro, Michigan. In his early years, he grew up on his family farm right outside of Caro, Michigan with his parents and 9 siblings. William started working at General Motors in 1964. In 1969, Bill enlisted in the United Stated Marine Corps, where he served with honor until 1971. He then worked at Eaton Foundry/Grede Industries for 37 years until retirement. He also worked several side jobs with the Detroit Free Press, Travor Well Drilling, and Millers Apple Orchard.
He married to his loving wife Melody Dawn Lockert, on April 15, 1972, and she survives him. William is also survived by his eldest son William Cadman and wife Lisa (from his first marriage to Jeanette Lasko), Kirstie Sue Troup, Jamy (Mark) Lockert and wife Gina, William Endert II and wife Angela, Jennifer Crumpton and husband Kenneth; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, four sisters and their spouses; Gerald and Mildred Endert, Donald Endert, Gary and Roxanne Endert, Ida Stricker, Oline Gaile and Alvin Joseph Raniszewski, Joyce and Richard Evans, Jackie and Nathan Grisham. He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Lenore Semard, and brother Harold Endert Jr..
William was an easy going, laid -back type of guy who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, working on cars, and helping friends and family. He loved watching his son and grandsons race cars and his granddaughter play sports. He loved spending time with his family, especially goofing off with the "Rugrats".
In accordance with William's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of William's life will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Vassar Victory Center at 2:00 p.m. For more information contact Melody directly.
