Obituary of David Lee Hockin

Hockin, David Lee Caseville, MI (formerly of Cheboygan MI) David, age 65, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region surrounded by his family. He was born August 29, 1953 in Traverse City MI to the late Donavon and Willadean Hockin. He was a 1971 graduate of Cheboygan High School. He worked as a truck driver, owner operator for most of his life, also working for Buchholz Transport for several years prior to his retirement in 2017. Although he enjoyed hunting and spending time at the local coffee shop with friends, he loved spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren. His passion was the pickups that he rebuilt to go FAST. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Chris; sons, Michael, Daniel (Heather) and Bryan (Emily); 4 grandchildren, Mykenzi, Josh, Carson, and Eliza; a brother, Gary (Barbra) Hockin; mother-in-law, Joan Heron; sister-in-law, Connie Champagne; brother-in-law, David Heron; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 1-4 PM at the Eagles Club, 7017 East Park Street, Caseville Michigan.
