Thomas Champagne Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Roland and Ruth (Conley) Champagne. Tom was born May 23, 1932 in Carrollton, Michigan. He married Olga Nerio on April 16, 1955. He was a member of St. Matthew's and then St. Josaphate Catholic Church.
Tom was a home contractor and was the owner of Quality Machine. He loved traveling, storytelling and had a great sense of humor.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 63 years, Olga and his sons Tom Champagne (Orlando, FL), Michael (Connie) Champagne (Saginaw), Beth LePeak (Caro); two grandchildren Peggy and Anna; his siblings, Larry (Marilyn) Champagne, Kathleen (Richard) Malesky and Mary Ellen (Mike) Mullally all of Zilwaukee; many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his brother Frank (Mary Lou) Champagne and his sister Sharleen (Jerry) Lunt.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish, St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck, Carrollton. Rev. Fr. James Bessert will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
