Obituary of Chris Edgar Ward

Chris Edgar Ward, age 62, of Wheeler, Michigan, passed away at his home Monday morning, May 20, 2019 with his brother, Timothy Ward, by his side. Chris and his twin sister, Christine were born October 5, 1956 to the late Edgar and Helen (Fetters) Ward. He graduated in 1976 from Breckenridge High School where he participated in track and field, excelling in the high jump. He spent most of his career working as a roof mechanic with his long-time friend, Bill Fetters. He always would offer to help family members with jobs around their homes and in their yards. His great work ethic came from his childhood, growing up on the family farm with his seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Chad of Florida; his siblings, Jacqueline Earley, Nancy (Mike) Hanson, Peggy (Nute) Colthorp,Timothy (Cindy) Ward, Christine (Glenn) Arnold, and Sheila (David) Good. He was predeceased by his brother, Todd Ward and sister-in-law, Patty Ward. A special thanks to his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Nute, for building a home for Chris. and to the hospice organization and his nurse Jackie M. for their ability to make Chris's last days a period for a peaceful passing.
