Obituary of Katherine Stodolak

Stodolak, Katherine (Riopelle) Standish, MI Katherine (Kathy) Stodolak, age 67, passed away June 13, 2019 surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born on January 14, 1952 at Ardmore Hospital in Ferndale, Michigan to the late Chelsea and Shirley (Mellor) Riopelle. She was formerly married to Dennis Stodolak Sr. Kathy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed camping, helping others, going to rummage sales, making wonderful art out of anything she could find, and being with family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Dennis Stodolak Jr., Steven (Courtney) Stodolak, and Christopher Stodolak; grandchildren, Kaylee Foote, Chandler Stodolak, and Malerie Stodolak. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffery Stodolak on August 12, 1973, her mother, and her father. Per Kathy's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Kathy's Life at Steven and Courtney's house at 2196 Pine River Rd (behind the golf course), Standish Michigan, Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 12pm-6pm. Kathy's Family would like to thank special friends Vicky Weber Chmura and Paulette Woolhiser for their unyielding, unconditional friendship as well as the many friends who stopped by to say goodbye to an Angel.
