Obituary of Ruth Powell

Powell, Ruth Freeland, Michigan (formerly of Clare and Saginaw MI) Ruth passed into the Lord's loving arms on July 4, 2019 at the age of 91. She was born in Vassar Michigan, May 26, 1928 to the late Kenneth and Mina Miller. On October 30, 1943 she married Jerome Powell, and he predeceased her. She enjoyed time with family, country music, thrift stores, casinos, bird watching, and her cats. She is survived by her children, Rox (Marcia) Powell of Clare, MI, Kurtis (Jane) Powell of Freeland, MI., and Suzzette Sharp (Ralph Hulslander) of Midland, MI; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline of Houghton Lake, MI; 13 grandchidren;15 great grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Warren and Vance; and 9 siblings. A Memorial Service and Life Celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m., July 20, 2019 at New Hope Fellowship Missionary Church, 9115 Pere Marquette Rd., Clare, MI. Pastor Charlie Greene will officiate, and a luncheon will follow the service.
