Obituary of Alan Gale Goodhall

Alan Gale Goodhall of Ithaca, MI passed away July 2, 2019 at the age of 66 in Auburn, Michigan at the Toni and Trish Hospice House. Alan was born December 12, 1952 in Alma, Michigan, the son of Richard A. Goodhall and Gladine V. (Zoss) Goodhall. He graduated in 1971 from Ithaca High School, and resided in Ithaca. Alan spent his life farming and working construction. He was a true MacGyver, capable of using household and farm supplies to rig up a solution to most mechanical issues. Alan had the mind of an engineer, and used his natural intuition to build a furnace for the family home, convert a school bus into a vehicle used to haul farm wagons, and to build a sprayer from a Chevrolet Scottsdale C10, along with several other contraptions. Alan enjoyed hunting, and proudly displayed the bucks he had shot on his property in his home. He is survived by his sister, Diane Derby; son, James Goodhall; daughters, Heather Therrien, Amber Frasier and Ali Barnes; grandchildren, Aidan Barnes, Reid Barnes, Nathan Frasier, Natalie Goodhall and Kennedy Goodhall; and friends and neighbors, Mike and Patti Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Gladine Goodhall, and brother Roger Wayne Goodhall. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM, Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Ithaca Community Center. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service from 3 PM - 4 PM.
