Obituary of David "Big Dave" Albert Scott

Scott, David A. (Big Dave), 72, of Bay City, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 30, 2019. Dave was born on November 7, 1946 to the late Floyd and Edna (LaFond) Scott. He married the love of his life, Mardy Milkowski on June 27, 1970. Together they celebrated 49 years of marriage and created a wonderful family including, children; David (Amy), Thomas (Denette), Steven (Heather), and Michelle, ex- son-in law Jeff (Freddie)Anderson and Alan Korte, grandchildren; Allyson, Emily, Austin, Andrew, Noah, Haylee, Hayden, Chloe, Cali, Makenna, Everett, great-grandson Asher, and expected great grandson on the way. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Tom and sister-in-law, Michelle. He is survived by his brothers, Don (Jeanie), Tim (Vicky), and Dan and a very special sister-in-law, Cheryl. Dave leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as several close friends. Dave honorably served in the United States Navy. He retired from the City of Bay City. Dave will be remembered for his love of his country, his family and his friends. He loved working on cars and speeding down the racetrack in Ubly. He enjoyed many poker nights over the years. He loved taking rides on his motorcycle and stopping for a burger with his friends. He loved watching Westerns and classic black and white movies and the Detroit Tigers. He enjoyed boating, shopping for things he never knew he needed, and creating "concoctions" in the kitchen. He will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A private service with military honors will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly.
