Obituary of Shirley Trackwell

SHIRLEY TRACKWELL March 10, 1936 to July 30, 2019 Shirley Trackwell passed away at home surrounded by family after a short but difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a volunteer for many years at the W. B. Regional Memorial Hospital from May to October and as a hospital liaison at the Bradenton Memorial Hospital in Florida from November to April. She looked forward to working in her flower gardens in spring and summer and recently she enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. Shirley was very athletic in her retirement years competing in the Senior Olympics for several years in both Michigan and Florida and walked the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day for some 20 years. She enjoyed spending the winter months in Ellenton, Florida residing at Tidevue Estates from November through April. There she was active and very competitive in cards and shuffle board. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Trackwell and her son Michael T. Trackwell. She is survived by her daughter Vicky (Trackwell) Grisham and a sister Carol (Lloyd) Trumpy and her husband Donald. She had four grandchildren, Stephany (Stephenson) Lidy, Michael L. Trackwell, Aleena Grisham and Thomas Grisham; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at New Life Apostolic Church, 335 West Cedar Street, Standish, Michigan.
