Obituary of Sharon Senske
Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, family and friend, Sharon Senske , age 77, passed away peacefully at McLaren Bay Region on September 26, 2019. Sharon was a Christian with faith whose love for life was to spend time with her family and friends, to help those in need along with rescuing animals. She also enjoyed having her flower and vegetable gardens along with reminiscing about the good old days she had with family and friends.
In her younger years she was a waitress at a couple different places around Bay City. She was able to retire after being employed for 32 years with the Detroit News and Free Press, USA Today and Wall Street Journal.
Sharon was born on March 14, 1942 to Victor Senske and Rose Mary (Dittenber) Hymel. Surviving Sharon is her son, Gregory L Senske Sr.; her two grandchildren, Shawn G. Senske and Gregory L Senske Jr.; two great grandchildren, Shane Senske and Cidney Bair; her brothers and sister, Fran Lesniak, Sandy Troxell, Richard II (Janis) Hymel, Mike (Dinah) Hymel; her half- brother, Robert (Grace) Senske; two half- sisters; and several dearly loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her step-parents, Richard and Ann Hymel; brother-in-law, Rodney Troxell; and great nephew, Joshua Lesniak.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Bay Shore Senior Care and Rehab Center along with the staff from the ICU at McLaren Bay Region. Sharon will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
The Celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Lighthouse Family Worship Center, 300 N Wenona, Bay City, MI 48606, with Pastor Tom Dinan officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday prior to the service from 12 noon until 1 PM. A luncheon will follow the service.
