Obituary of Paula K. (Friesorger) Hamlin

Paula K. Hamlin (Friesorger) passed peacefully October 2, 2019 at home in care of her family. Born and raised in Bay City, Paula moved to Howell in 2017 following a fall resulting in a broken hip. She is survived by her daughter Amii Friesorger-Jones and her three great grandsons Skyler, Reid and Tayte. She was preceded by her Grandson, Jayson Leisentritt. Her great joys in life were her love of God, her Daughter, Grandson, and Great Grandsons. She celebrated her love of God at Hopevale Church in Saginaw and at 2|42 Community Church in Brighton. She enjoyed lunch with her friends every Sunday at Bob Evans after the service at Hopevale. She hosted her family to a Disney Halloween cruise in 2018 so she could experience their joy. Her eldest Great Grandson catching a shark while fishing in the Bahamas was a story she told with excitement to all she met. Dressing as the Wicked Witch for Halloween on-board was not her idea, but she allowed it to humor the great grandkids. Paula spent two years volunteering at the Howell Catholic Family Services "Be Our Guest" center. She made certain she had her wardrobe laid out the prior night before bed, including the mandatory Kitty Socks and Kitty Shoes. Butterflies and Kitty Cats were especially meaningful to her. A visit to the Butterfly House in Midland with her two youngest Great Grandsons made her especially happy. Paula loved to shop, especially for holiday decorations to make her home a place of celebration. She took great pride decorating her Christmas tree.
