While I never met Joe, I have been friends with his son Jason for the past 15 years through our careers together at the DNR. And if Jason, being that "chip off the old block", is anything like his father, than I know that Joe was a great guy and a solid block to be chipped from. Jason and I have a lot in common through our lives and it's been nice to have him share stories of his dad along the path of our friendship. I can almost picture myself on the shores of Higgins Lake sipping on something with Jason and his dad. I know that was probably a special place where a lot of memories were created. Its those memories that will live on, so keep telling those stories! My condolences go out to all of you. Dan Lord
