Obituary of Sharon K. Rabie

Sharon K. Rabie, age 81 of Saginaw, our loving, caring, and most faithful mother and grandmother passed away December 4, 2019. She was born June 28, 1938 to the late Raymond and Mildred Sommers. She married Kenneth Rabie April 18, 1958 and they celebrated 52 wedding anniversaries together. They retired at Sage Lake, were they loved lake life and made many memories with their family, friends, and neighbors. Sharon had a passion for giving and with her talent of crocheting she made and donated blankets to the Can Council of the Great Lakes Bay Region. She knew the importance of each child to have something they owned. Over the years she has donated over 2000 blankets, and leaves a legacy of continuing this tradition through others at South Colony Apartments where she lived. She is survived by two children, Brian (Anna) Rabie, Bruce (Angie) Rabie; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Rawls, Jason Rabie, Jeremy Rabie, Cameron Rabie, Heather Hughston, Cody Rabie, Cassidy Rabie; sister, Judy Gunther; brother, Richard (Karen) Sommers; several nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 2011 and brother-in- law, Bill Gunther. Sharon requested no funeral service. The family will gather for a private memorial service in the spring.
