Ray was one of my oldest cousins, he and Jerry were always the sweetest guys. My Mom, their Aunt Benni, took care of Ray and Aunt Bow when Jerry was born. She was 16 years old and is now 99. She always loved those boys! I remember when Ray and Mary Lou we're married and we were all at Aunt Bow and Uncle Ray's house to celebrate. She was so sweet and shy. She immediately became a favorite new cousin! Whenever there was a family funeral Ray (Junior) as we always called him and Jerry were always asked to be pallbearers. My Father's as well. It was like a given that these two great guys would be there to serve. When my Mother's time comes it will be very sad for us that they will not be there to do the honor for her. The last time we saw Ray and Mary Lou they were visiting my Mom at Bay Shores Rehab. Always there for family! She was very saddened by their passings as we all were. The Schemm family wanted you to know what great people they all were and we have such fond memories. Growing up with Grandma and Grandpa Lago and spending time with that wonderful family they created was one of the best highlights of my life. I will never forget any of them! You can be so proud of your parents!
