Obituary of Douglas James Hunt
Douglas James Hunt, age 64, of East Tawas (formerly of Lapeer), left this world Wednesday, December 25, 2019. He was born May 19, 1955 in Flint to Elmer "Gene" and Elizabeth "Betty" Hunt. Doug graduated from Lapeer High School. He retired from General Motors in Flint after many years of service, and was a member of UAW Local #659.
Doug was a bright light to all of his family and friends, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping with his friends and family. He will be missed by his many friends and family members.
Doug leaves his wife Deb of East Tawas; his brother, Larry (Ann) of Swartz Creek; his sisters-in-law, Janie (Terry) Burtch, and Nancy (Bob) Fishell; brothers-in-Law, Tom Paciorek, Jim Paciorek and Vern Irrer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Betty Hunt; sisters, Linda (Russ) Kelley and Denice Hunt; and sisters-in-law, Patricia Irrer and Carol Paciorek.
