Obituary of Violet Mae Dawson

Violet Mae Dawson Montrose, MI (formerly of Caro) Vi walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior, January 26, 2020, as the result of complications caused by an injury that she sustained several years ago. She was surrounded by loved ones, most importantly, her loving daughter Rebecca, who has been her devoted caregiver since the accident. Vi was born July 31, 1939. She left this world the same way she lived in it, strong beyond belief and filled with faith. Vi is survived by her daughter, Rebecca O'Dell; son, Bryon Dawson; four grandsons, Bryon Dawson Jr., Elijah, Makiah, and Maddex O'Dell; and her spiritual grandsons, Trace and Tyler O'Dell. Also surviving are her brother, Carl; sister, Shirley; special friend, Larry Dawson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her son, Donald Dawson; son-in-law Scott O'Dell; nephew, Forrest Sommerfield; spiritual grandson, Landon Binder; brothers, Paul and Harold; and sister-in-law, Char. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and nurtured on this earth. Many of them consider her their second Mom. She was a caregiver at heart and relished cooking for those she loved.
