I will surely miss Mike. Whenever I would run into him anywhere he always had a smile and a quick hello. I'd ask how he was doing, and his response was always the same I woke up this morning, so far so good . Mike you will be missed in the neighborhood .

I hadn't seen Mike in a long time but I remember things were always interesting around his house. The first time I met him he cooked me a steak at 2 in the morning. And you didn't dare move his magazines around or you'd get an earful. And I remember he loved his daily 3. I'm not a gambler but I think I'll play 210 for him. You won't meet nice guy!

On behalf of your many friends and neighbors Mike, we will all miss your smiling face and your "God Bless You" message for everyone. What a character you always were. The first person everyone met when they moved into the neighbor was Mike. He welcomed everyone and hosted many "coffee club" gatherings around his kitchen table. The stories that were told and the jokes everyone shared are memories that will keep his spirit alive for many years to come. Our hearts go out to the girls and to Mary. We want them to know just how much we support them during this difficult time. Rest in peace Mike.

I have a lot of memories growing up with Mike's daughters and spending time at their house. I remember taking skittles from their candy dispenser, his year round "fake flowers" and that their house was always so clean!! I remember a lot of conversations at their kitchen table. Mike loved his family, his neighbors and his cat!! Even after we all grew up I'd call Mike on his house phone (that the number was still the same) and he was always happy to talk and show friendship and support. I can still hear his distinct voice and can picture him sitting in the kitchen and the old "fish" art project hanging in the corner. I'm sad to hear of his passing and my heart goes out to his family. He will surely be missed!
