Obituary of Steven L. Ososki

Steven L. Ososki, age 58, of Gladwin, formerly of Pinconning, passed away with his family at his side on March 3, 2020 from cancer. He was born on October 28, 1961 to Janeen (Hawkins) and the late Ray Ososki. Steve enjoyed riding his Harley, driving his Mustang, and spending his winters in Florida. He was a loving husband, father, son, wonderful grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. Steve married Kathy Russell on March 14, 1980, and she survives him. Surviving are his wife Kathy; son, Joshua (Joanne); daughter, Ashley (Kane) Karpinsky; grandchildren, Barrett Ososki, Zachary and Hannah Karpinsky; his mother, Janeen Ososki; mother-in-law Emily Russell; brother, David (Colleen) Ososki; sister, Julie (Vincent) Peck; brothers and sisters-in-law Angela Russell, Robert Russell, and Barbara Walters; great-aunts, Pearl Cox and Esther Rifenbark; aunts and uncles, Delphine Whyte, Mary and Sharlene Ososki, Mary Ann Garza, Joseph Ososki, Kenton Hawkins and Ed Hawkins; and many cousins. Steve was predeceased by his grandparents, Charles and Mida Hawkins, and Joe and Martha Ososki; sisters-in-law, Rene Russell and Melissa Ososki; niece, Nichole Ososki; and friends Bird Trudell and Charley Taylor. A special thanks to both the staff of Heartland Hospice of West Branch, and his personal nurses, Julie Peck and Joanne Ososki, for their loving care.
