Obituary of Orlin Ray Curtis

Curtis, Orlin Ray Mt. Pleasant, Michigan formerly of Coleman Orlin Ray, age 83, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Coleman Michigan, passed away on Thursday March 5, 2020 at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant after a long illness. He was born August 16, 1936 the youngest of twin boys to Gordon and Hila(Conner) Curtis. Orlin and his wife of 45 years owned and operated Custom Starter and Alternator in Leaton, Michigan since 1981. He was a hard worker and loved farming, carpentry, doing things with his hands, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Orlin married his second wife Jacqueline (Jackie) Randall/Hill on August 16,1974. Mr. Curtis is survived by his wife Jackie, 5 sons Richard Curtis, Ronald (Jenny) Curtis, Dennis Curtis and step sons Mark (Andrea) Hill and Michael Hill. Orlin was grandpa to 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his twin brother and best friend Orville Curtis, sister Hila Barnhart and brother Gordon Curtis. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his nephews Bob and Fernado Curtis as well as Kristin Roberson and granddaughter Jessica Hill for all their help during this time. Orlin was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Ellis and Marion Randall, sisters Wanda Robison, Helen Leslie, Ruth Pelton and brothers Arthur Curtis, Paul Pelton and Clarence Pelton. He was also preceded by his sister-in-laws Joni Curtis, Jackie Curtis, Barbara McLanson and Joan Hicks., and two brother-in-laws Ed Robison and Robert Randall. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 PM, Saturday, August 5, 2020 at the Isabella Township Park, Rosebush Michigan. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Shriners Children Hospital.
