Obituary of Joyce I. Barancik

Joyce I. Barancik of Chesaning, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at The Nursing Care Center in Chesaning,MI. Joyce was born on March 30, 1933 to Loring and Marjorie (Flegel) Buchholz of Brant. She married the love of her life, Andrew J. Barancik, on November 8, 1952, and they celebrated 67 years of marriage together. Joyce was a loving mother and homemaker all of her life. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Chesaning, where she took communion to the hospitals for the sick, she worked at the Showboat Dinners, she enjoyed volunteering at various groups at the church, and she loved going to her Bible study group. She loved spending time with her lifelong friends, which they all named their group "The Sunshine Ladies Club", where they shared lots of fun and laughs. She belonged to the Red Hat Society, loved camping, traveling, shopping, having lunch with her friends, and spending precious time with her family. Most of all she loved reading her bible and spending time with the Lord. Joyce is survived by her husband Andrew; , children, Ellen (Ken) Weisenberger, Jeff (Terry) Barancik, Curt (Sue) Barancik, Jill Hankins, Sheila (Kevin) Bates; one sister, Barbara Tupica; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Matthew Barancik, Frank & Marianne Barancik; and sister-in-law, Joan Barancik. She was predeceased by her parents Loring and Marjorie Buchholz; her twin brother, James Buchholz and his wife Georgeann; an infant son, David; a grandson, Joshua Barancik; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
