Obituary of Ralph C. Whaley

Ralph Carl Whaley, age 79, passed away suddenly at home on May 21, 2020. He was an avid euchre player, spending his Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Millington Community Center with his card playing friends. He adored his dog Penny, the two always sitting together in his chair watching TV. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar. He leaves behind his daughter, Melissa Burkhardt of Millington; his sister, Janet (Clare) Opperman; brothers, Doug (Joyce) Whaley and Arnold Whaley; brother-in-law Merle Sayles; granddaughters, Megan Burkhardt and Andria (Joseph) St. Clair; grandson, Kevin Whaley; and three great-grandsons, Ian, Geoffrey, and Logan. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Ann; his son, Carl; and sister, Delores Sayles. Cremation has taken place, and according to Ralph's wishes, no memorial service is planned. All sympathy store items must be sent directly to the family home.
