I am so shocked to hear of Gino's passing. He was my Supervisor when I worked at the Department of Social Services in Saginaw County back in the early to mid-70's. He was Thee nicest guy ever, and served the Department well. He crossed my mind just now for some reason, and I decided to look him up only to find this. This is so recent. Peace & Blessings to you Gino. You were a good and faithful servant of the people. Godspeed and may you Rest In Power. ~ Delores Lyons

Please accept my condoleasces to you and your family for your loss. Longing hired me in 1976 as a Children's Services worker. His leadership was instrumental in making Children's Services policies geared towards protecting children from abuse and neglect. Rest In Peace Gino.

Gino was a friend and inspiration in our Delta College school days and dear in my joyful recall of our social science class of Harvey Wickman at Delta (1961). Later, when he attended University of Michigan, we treasured and enjoyed making pizza together Friday nights and talking into the night. In later years, I was fortunate to have our paths come together in our work in Child Welfare. We are sorry for you loss Barb and hold close the many memories of Gino.

A true gentleman. Barb & Gino, such a wonderful couple. I am so glad I got to see him recently. He worked with my brother Mike way back when and I just found a picture of the two of them sitting at our kitchen table on Sheridan Place. I babysat for their daughter. I am so sorry to hear this. I am sending all my love and healing prayers for your broken hearts. Much love Mary Miller Bator.

Sadly I learned of Gino's passing today. My very best to Barbara and the rest of the Gonzales family. Gino hired me "off the street" in 1972, and I admired his incredible work ethic for over three decades. We had many interesting conversations over the years, and he supported me during the best periods of my work life at DSS, FIA, DHS. You are missed old friend.

Gino was the hardest working individual I have ever met. He expected perfection and would work long and hard to try to achieve this. He gave me my first job and would often mentor me as I grew into my position. I learned hard work, accountability, and leadership from him. Returning back to Saginaw I often as myself, "What would Gino do?" Farewell my friend, until we meet again. I would like to offer my condolences to my good friend Randy Gonzales and his entire family.
