Obituary of Christine A. Ralph (Carlevaris-Bianco)

Ralph, Christine Anne (Carlevaris-Bianco) Midland, Michigan Christine Anne, age 67, of Midland, MI passed away at home surrounded by family on June 20, 2020. She was born November 1, 1952, in San Diego, CA to Kenneth Ralph and Anne (Plourde) Wiltse. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Umberto Carlevaris-Bianco; her four children: Nick (Amy) Carlevaris-Bianco, Chelsea (Allison Gorine) Carlevaris-Bianco, Zack Carlevaris-Bianco, and Sousha Carlevaris-Bianco; two grandchildren: Jonathan James and Anthony James; and siblings: David Ralph, Bonnie Malanga, and Jennifer Kime. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Janet Saukas, Daniel Ralph, and Matthew Ralph. Christine grew up in Standish, Michigan, and graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She was an avid world traveler, meeting Umberto while backpacking through Africa. She learned Italian and lived in Italy with Umberto before they journeyed together through Africa, exploring the continent by motorcycle for several years before settling back in Michigan to start a family. Christine worked in the family's private rental and tile business and devoted her life to being a loving mother. Always an artist, she was a patron of the theater and spent many years as a costume designer for the Midland Center for the Arts. Christine loved reading, photography, and pottery, as well as spending time with her beloved nieces, nephews, and children. She will be dearly missed. A funeral will be held at a later date.
