Obituary of Frank A. Herd

Frank Herd, age 83, of Lupton, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020. Frank loved working with his hands. For most of his life he was a mechanic until he started his landscaping business, Hobby Farm Landscaping. He retired in 1998. As health allowed, he loved hunting and fishing, wood working, animals, and of course, his family. Frank was a Vietnam Era veteran, and served in the Army from 1959-1962. He is survived by his daughter,Toni Deaton, of Lupton and son, Ernie (Karen) Herd, of Hephzibah GA. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Dorothy Herd; his brother, Robert Herd; his sister, Patricia Herndon; and Helen, his wife of 58 years. A potluck celebration of life will be held at 6 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 125 W. Main Street, Rose City MI. RSVPs are greatly appreciated. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI later next week with full military honors.
