Theresa informed me of Tony's death this morning on Facebook. I never really knew Tony very well, but when his brother Steve found out from Tom Shannon that I was going to be transferring from Delta College to MSU for the Fall semester 1979, Steve suggested that Tony and I should be roommates in the dorm that year. I was agreeable to that idea but Tony backed out (I never knew why) of attending MSU that semester. Did he ever attend? My deepest condolences to Tony's wife and the entire Grzesiak family.

Tony was first a co worker , then my supervisor , then friend . I cherish all the times I spent with Tony and Karen. We should all aspire to be the fabulous mentor , friend, spouse , family member and person he was. His legacy of kindness , laughter , storytelling and mischievous grin with an eye twinkle will live in my heart forever. My deepest condolences to his circle of family and friends, Kim Ade

I met Tony through are shared employment with the Michigan Department of Corrections. Initially he was a new hire in the Bay County office and I shared some of my experiences with him. I remained in Bay County as Tony moved to various locations. He subsequently returned to Bay County as my supervisor. Over the years I played many rounds of golf with Tony some in tournaments others in social rounds. I attended many poker nights at Tony's house and this is how I met his wife Karen. After I retired Tony would sometimes drop by the house to see how I was doing. I offer my condolences to Karen and the Grzesiak family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Tony for over 24 years. I first met Tony when he promoted at work and I called him my "Boss". Over the years, I got to know Tony and I called him my "Friend". Towards the end of his career Tony chose to give up the management roll and I called him my "Union Brother". As time went on, I got to know Tony's wife, mother and siblings and he became "Family". Outside of work, we would engage in an occasional game of Texas Hold'em Poker and Tony often played the roll of my "Nemesis". No matter the roll he was playing, Anthony "Tony" Edward Grzesiak was "All In!".
Rest In Peace

We are so blessed to know Tony & all of his siblings. Our prayers and condolences go out to all of the Grzesiak family. May all your happy memories help you get through this most difficult time.
Karen - We still talk about the time that we went to Vegas with you, Tony, Paul & Michelle. You & Tony would call it a day and quit gambling once you lost a given amount of money each day & go to your room and watch videos. It really was fun to be included with you guys on this trip.
We are so sorry for loss.

I was deeply saddened to learn about Tony's passing.
I met Tony thru work. He was always prepared and promptly responsive to any request the courts made.
I also knew him from Fordney Club. Although we didn't socialize outside of Fordney Club I considered him a good friend. I absolutely loved his sense of humor. Whenever I saw him he always had a smile on his face and I knew we were going to be laughing about something. I could pick him out of a crowd from his laugh. What a great individual. He will be truly missed. My sympathies to the family.
Sincerely,
Judge Fred L. Borchard

Tony was truly blessed with a big wonderful family and this I am sure is what made him a great friend. Although we often spared over politics and poker it was always with great heartfelt friendship. I have know Tony since his days at Saint Mary's High School and as we aged we became closer friends. He was the type of friend everyone hopes to have, he would have your back at all times and call you out for your BS when necessary. He is already missed, but his memories will not be forgotten.
To his wife Karen and all of his family, I cannot imagine your sorrow and I am very sorry for your loss.
Your Friend Dave Blank

To Tony's siblings: I still have very vivid memories of Tony, his kindness, his laughter, even the sound of his voice as a child. Together at Holy Rosary, we shared six years of growing up. I last saw him at a class reunion in the late '80's. He had grown into such a kind and cool man.
May the Lord give you strength to get through his passing. The world is a greater place because Tony was with you! God Bless.

Jack and I have a group of friends in Saginaw that we do many things with. Tony and Karen are in that group. When Tony was still working he seemed more quiet, but after he retired he was more relaxed and he had a way of telling a story that got your interest and had everyone laughing. He planned such a great 25th wedding anniversary party and surprised Karen; he also got down on one knee and sang her a song in polish. We all felt so bad when Tony got sick; he tried hard to fight his illness. None of us thought we would lose him so soon, for that we are very, very sorry. Jack and Yvonne
