Obituary of Shirley Ann Fila

Shirley Ann Fila, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2020. Shirley was of the Catholic Faith her entire life. She retired form Steering Gear in Saginaw Michigan in 1999. Shirley was born on September 25, 1938 in Saginaw to the late Sarah and George Williams. Shirley married John Floyd Fila Jr. on August 16, 1958, preceding her in death on March 19, 2018. They were reunited in heaven on their 62nd Wedding Anniversary. Shirley was always genuine and kind, with compassion for all. She never complained, she was soft spoken, yet very strong. She was immensely proud of her family and loved them unconditionally. She will be missed dearly by her children, John (Tina) Fila III, Jan (Frank) Rozsa, Rob (Leann) Fila, Nikki (Rich) Redeemer; grandchildren, Alicia Fila, Amber Fila, Ashlee Fila, Danny Reppuhn, Trisha (Josh) Meyers, John Fila IV, David (Tricia) Sayan, Cori Sayan, Chad Sayan, Sara (Corbin) Barbersek, Casie Fila, Carissa Fila, Caitlin (Alex) Idunate, Robby Fila, Shauna (Stephen) Irish, Josh Greenwald, Judi Schell, Nick Schell, Ari and Owen Redeemer; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Robert (Ruth) William. Her life was halted twice with the pain of losing 2 daughters Judi Ann Fila on October 18, 1986 and Lori Ann Fila on February 10, 1961. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, George Williams, Gilbert Williams, Howard Williams, Fred Williams, Matt Williams, Martha Allen, Rose Riska, Donna Shultz, Johney Williams, and Evelyn Williams; and a special family friend Miechael Delacruz.
