Obituary of Russell W. Allman

Allman, Russ Williamston, Michigan Russ, a lifelong resident of Williamston, age 78, passed away September 7, 2020. He was born in Stockbridge, Michigan January 24, 1942 to the late Russell and Evelyn (Groh) Allman. Russ was an active member of both the Eagles Club of Williamston and the Canada Club. He enjoyed classic cars, family cookouts, motorcycles and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. He retired after a 30+ year career as a durability test driver at the General Motors Proving Grounds. He was also a skilled mechanic and could routinely be found working in his garage on his latest project. Russ was a selfless person who was always willing to help someone in need, no questions asked. Russ is survived by his life partner of 50 years, Barbara Allman; his sons, Sean Tinkle (Shannon) and Todd Allman (Jennifer); daughters, Jovonne Mosher, Yvonne Allman and Heather Koons (Douglas); 16 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
